Religious Music Week Alliance
Offers $10,000 in Scholarships

Four $2,500 scholarships for students of religious music will be granted in 2007 by the National Religious Music Week Alliance, according to Stewart Jones, chairman of the Alliance.

The scholarships, based on merit, will be granted to individuals enrolled in a college-level music program leading to a career in the ministry of music. They are available to members of all faiths
, and are for sophmores and above, including graduate students.  Closing date for applications is March 15.

The scholarship program, begun in 2004, was made possible by a gift from the Bever family of Oxford, Ohio. This fund has been increased by contributions from many concerned organizations and individuals.

The application form, which appears on this website as a PDF document, can be filled out, then printed and mailed to the Alliance. If you cannot gain access to the application form, write, phone or email us and we will send you a copy. The address of the National Religious Music Week Alliance is 11 Wheelright Crescent, Hamilton, OH 45013, phone 513/319-3039, email musicweek@aol.com.

National Religious Music Week is observed the last full week of September each year. The Alliance is also known for its Ministry of Music Awards, given annually in recognition of outstanding music directors throughout the country.
